Streamlined, learner-centred, flexible
Integral to the Royal College's MOC Program is a robust MAINPORT application.
MAINPORT is an integrated learning space that provides physicians with strategies to manage their learning and access a wide variety of web resources and assessment programs.
Tools for planning CPD
MAINPORT has gone mobile! An iPhone and iPad app is available at the App Store.
For Blackberry and Android users, you can access MAINPORT via our mobile site at https://m-mainport.royalcollege.ca.
One feature of MAINPORT is a continuing professional development (CPD) planning tool. Physicians input the learning goals they intend to pursue, create comprehensive plans to achieve each learning goal and track their progress during the year.
MAINPORT also has functionality that enables physicians to complete partial information about a learning activity, save the file, and then finish the documentation later.
Through MAINPORT, physicians can also access databases, online journals and learning objects for enhancing their continuing education.
Training opportunities at your fingertips
Check our FAQ page for answers to a wide variety of questions about recording and reporting activities in MAINPORT.
Log in to your MAINPORT account to access a flash tutorial available through a link on your dashboard. Although the entire tutorial is only 17 minutes, you can opt to watch one- or two-minute clips on how to perform specific tasks. You can even claim your learning from the tutorial as a Personal Learning Project in Section 2.
Download our quick-start guide (available through a link at the bottom of your MAINPORT dashboard) for simple tips on how to how to enter, revise or delete a CPD activity.
