Creating a Forum for Dialogue and Action on HRH

The Royal College developed the HRH Dialogue Series to facilitate exchange between various key stakeholders on joint and ongoing action concerning HRH. This series is devoted to the Royal College’s efforts to ensure an appropriate supply of specialty physicians are working with other health providers in optimal conditions conducive to providing high quality health care.

 

The Royal College-NSS Conference Series
The Royal College-NSS Conference Series provides a forum to foster continued communication and linkage between elected officials and senior staff from the NSS and the Royal College on top of mind issues including human resources for health.

Canadian Partnership for Progress in Health Human Resources (CPPHHR)
Building on findings of the Royal College-NSS HHR conference, the CPPHHR aims to further define the problem-set and pathways to solutions concerning health human resources.

Agreement on Internal Trade

Governments and regulators are adopting new approaches to address labour and medical workforce shortages, including amendments to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). The Royal College has produced a discussion paper analyzing the AIT amendments and their potential implications for the medical workforce and access to quality care.
