The Royal College works with specialist physicians throughout their professional lives, from residency through retirement and beyond. We also collaborate extensively with our base of expert volunteers.
Fellows
Fellows are physicians who have met our residency requirements and successfully sat our rigorous examinations. We give Fellows a voice in setting and monitoring standards in medical education and lifelong learning. We also support their interests through our health policy and advocacy work.
Residents
We actively seek relationships with resident specialists as well. We support them through the process of becoming certified to practice independently in a medical specialty.
Volunteers
The Royal College relies on a small army of volunteers who provide invaluable support in our daily business activities. Most of our volunteers are Fellows, while many are non-Fellows expert in areas of interest to the Royal College.
