Competence by Design: Supporting faculty development

The Royal College is committed to implementing Competence by Design (CBD) in a manner that respects the needs of faculties across the country and supports them with resources.

We will work with the specialty committee of each CBD adopter and other volunteers. Together, we will create education and faculty development resources that allow specialties to incorporate competency-based practices into their programs. This includes resources like

  • assessment templates,
  • milestone development guides,
  • curriculum mapping tools, and
  • face-to-face training.
