Applicants with ACGME training in the U.S.
Applicants who have completed some or all residency training in the United States in a training program accredited by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) must apply for an assessment of training to ensure that their training meets Canadian specialty-specific training requirements.
Many ACGME accredited programs are shorter than Royal College accredited programs. Review the Canadian training objectives and specialty requirements of your specialty to ensure that your training fulfils Canadian requirements for eligibility to certification. Apply for an assessment of your ACGME residency training (Fillable form* | Printable form).
