Gain approval to attend ICRE 2018

In today’s economy, we know that spending time and money to attend the International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE) and its associated events is a professional development opportunity that sometimes needs to be justified. We recommend that you follow the steps below to demonstrate to your program director or management the positive return on investment (ROI) for your institution, clinic or organization that will result from attending ICRE 2018.

Step 1:

Explore ICRE’s 2018 program and determine which educational sessions you plan to attend. Choose those that will most benefit your professional practice, your research, your colleagues/residents and your institution. Each of the workshops, plenaries and poster/paper presentations under ICRE’s 21 Learning Tracks outline specific learning objectives and outcomes for participants.

Step 2:

Complete a Request Letter and submit to your program director or management. This letter, developed specifically for our medical education audience, is meant to help facilitate the approval process and create a business case for attending ICRE 2018. You may also download our Cost/Benefit Worksheet to help develop a cost estimate.
