Current Open Positions: Council
Mid-term appointments to the Council of the Royal College will take place at the June 20-21, 2024, Council meeting. The Nominating Committee (NC) is now accepting applications until May 2, 2024, to fill two Council positions.

The Royal College has committed to Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation and to upholding the principles of anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Our aim is to create committees that reflect the many social identities of the Royal College’s membership, including ethnic origin, race, age, disability, religion, gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation.
Opportunities
We are recruiting new Councillors who have knowledge, skills and/or experience in the areas of community engagement, government relations, and health systems.
The following positions are under recruitment.

Next steps in our mid-term appointment process
All completed applications received by May 2 will be considered by the NC when it meets in May 2024. The overall nomination and appointment process consists of the following timeline:
- The Nominating Committee recruits new Council members (April).
- The Nominating Committee selects new Council applicants to interview (Early May).
- An interview panel comprised of Nominating Committee members interviews new Council applicants (Mid-May).
- The Nominating Committee nominates new Council members (Late May).
- Council receives the Nominating Committee ’s nominations and appoints new members to Council (Late June).
