The statements below are samples only. Please contact the accredited CPD provider that reviewed your application for Section 1 or Section 3 Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program credits to obtain the specific accreditation statement(s).

Your activity must be approved by a Royal College-accredited CPD provider before you can use one of the following accreditation statements in your activity documentation.

Section 1 accreditation statement (sample)

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by [accredited CPD provider’s name]. You may claim a maximum of # hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Section 3: Self-Assessment accreditation statement (sample)

This activity is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by [accredited CPD provider’s name]. You may claim a maximum of # hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Section 3: Simulation accreditation statement (sample)

This activity is an Accredited Simulation Activity (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by [accredited CPD provider’s name]. You may claim a maximum of # hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Co-development statement (sample)

This [program/workshop/seminar] was co-developed with [name of organization] and was planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ designation statement (sample)

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. More information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit.

European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) (sample)

Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, (sample)

“Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, healthcare practitioners participating in the QCHP CME/CPD program may record MOC Section 1 or MOC Section 3 credits as QCHP Category 1 or Category 3 credits.”
