Why we engage internationally
OIC and RCI support the achievement of excellence in PGME and lifelong learning around the globe. Our international outreach and programs support jurisdictions to build their specialty medical education system, practice standards, local capacity, and communities of practice through knowledge sharing and support.
We strongly believe that through engagement and education, we build together stronger health care systems and the best health care for all.
We carefully consider which projects and clients to support based on several criteria, including alignment with our vision and resources available to ensure OIC and RCI have the capacity needed to make a local impact in those jurisdictions. In all projects, the safety and security of staff and Fellows is of paramount importance, as are social, geopolitical and health and safety considerations.
The OIC and RCI international portfolio is regularly reviewed with the RCI Board of Directors.
