An Update on 12NAC

In light of developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the goal of the Planning Committee for the 12th National Accreditation Conference is to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. It is for this reason that the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada have decided to cancel the conference set to take place in Toronto this October.

We understand that many of you were looking forward to this event, to gain insights and learn of the ever-evolving world of accreditation. We want to assure you all that this cancellation wasn’t made lightly and was made with the best interest of our attendees and committee members in mind. The decision was made based on the shifting priorities of our organizations, our members and our Fellows, as well as the availability of the planning committee and the feasibility of hosting the conference this fall in light of the pandemic.

Given these uncertain times, both colleges intention is to postpone 12th National CPD Accreditation Conference for one year and hold it in the fall of 2021. Once a date is confirmed, we will provide an update. We hope that you are all in good health and please take care.

We look forward to seeing you in 2021.
