WHEN YOU START

TRANSFORMATION PROCESS BEGINS

Start of the transformation process is marked by the first CBD workshop, approximately two years before launch. The final launch date, however, is decided on through discussions between the Royal College, the Specialty Committee, and the Postgraduate Dean as their transfortmation process. Please note that several disciplines' progression in this transformation has been impacted by COVID-19. The Royal College is working with disciplines to address that impact and will provide updates as they become available.

EXAM IMPLICATIONS When your specialty has a confirmed launch date, it is also necessary to confirm any changes to exam timing. Under CBD, exam candidates must pass their written exam before being invited to sit the applied exam, unless their specialty has opted for a written-only exam process.
