History and Heritage Advisory Board

The History and Heritage Advisory Board (HHAB) helps preserve and promote the history of specialty medicine and medical education.

Activities of the advisory board

Reporting to the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, the advisory board

  • applies a historical lens to modern challenges and strategic issues facing the Royal College.
  • imparts advice and recommendations related to the identification, preservation, promotion, analysis and dissemination of the Royal College‚Äôs history and heritage, its collection and the contributions of its members.
  • promotes and encourages scholarship related to the history of specialty medicine and medical education.

Structure of the advisory board

The HHAB is made up of Fellows, Resident Affiliates and other experts on the history of medicine.

Join the History and Heritage Advisory Board

The History and Heritage Advisory Board is seeking new members to serve a two-year term starting in February 2022. To apply, please email history@royalcollege.ca indicating your interest.
