Events for Competence Committee Chairs

cc-forum

In recognition of the important role that Competence Committee Chairs play in PGME, we are hosting a series of free 90-minute virtual events to foster online learning and connection for Canadian Competence Committee Chairs. The sessions are facilitated in English but may include breakout sessions in French based on registration.

Each virtual session includes a presentation on trending topics and moderated breakout room sessions targeted at level/need. These events are designed to answer questions, identify common challenges and share ideas. To join discussions between sessions please join our Slack group at ccchairsforum.slack.com

Together we can learn and contribute to CBD in a meaningful and collaborative manner.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Join us on Thursday, October 27 for the Competence Committee Chairs Forum at ICRE.

This full day forum explores the vital role the competence committee (CC) chair plays within a competency-based curriculum. Through development of a network of competence committee chairs, plenary presentations and interactive break-out sessions, attendees will work through typical scenarios and develop the skills to lead and support the work of a competence committee. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss common challenges and strategies to manage those challenges.

The session will cover the basics of setting up and running a competence committee, but will go on to explore longer term considerations like maintaining engagement and ensuring professional development for committee members, continuous quality improvement (CQI) and program evaluation of committee decisions and processes.

This forum acknowledges the relatively new role of the CC chair and will provide many opportunities to network and share resources and best practices.

If you are interested in attending, please register here.

If you have trouble registering please email icre@royalcollege.ca.
