Discover the Newly Harmonized French Oncological Vocabulary

The Royal College is introducing a newly harmonized vocabulary bringing together terms used in the field of oncology. This work represents the second part of its collaboration with l’Office québécois de la langue française.

This vocabulary has 236 expressions associated with nearly 1,200 French and English terms. As with the first vocabulary of surgical expressions, these oncological terms have been approved by Royal College experts in specialty medical education and care, as well as l'Office québécois de la langue française.

The Royal College invites examiners, candidates and medical educators to consult the new vocabulary in preparation for its exams and use it in their practice.

Important Notice

The Royal College examiners will not penalize candidates who use other terms or expressions during exams.
